Celine Dion paid tribute to the mothers in Ukraine
For Mother's Day on May 8, Céline Dion took to Instagram and shared a new photo of herself with her three sons, René-Charles, Nelson, and Eddy. The "Immortality" hitmaker flashed a smile while sitting in the middle of her children and holding a lit-up candle. As seen in the snapshot above, Dion appeared makeup free and celebrated the day with a small cake. In her caption, the singer paid tribute to the mothers in Ukraine, expressing she is praying that they "will find peace and comfort for their families."
"I feel very fortunate to be able to be with my children, and I think about mothers in Ukraine and around the world who have lost their children," she wrote, adding, "and for those mothers who constantly worry about how to keep their children safe... and for those mothers who devote every ounce of their energy just to provide their children with the bare necessities of life."
After posting the rare peek into her home life, many of Dion's 5 million followers sounded off with appreciation under her warm post. "You have such a gentle heart," one user wrote, adding the red heart emoji. "So well said," another wrote. "Beautiful family. Hugs for you Celine," a third fan remarked. Happy Mother's Day, Céline!
