But as their romance heated up, the beloved actor's health went downhill. The "Modern Family" star was diagnosed with kidney dysplasia, got a kidney transplant in 2012, and then had to get a second kidney transplant. But Hyland's illness only made the couple closer, and she told Self that Adams had seen her at her "worst." Hyland explained, "He was there through all of that ... I think that's why I feel the most beautiful in his eyes, because he still finds me beautiful after seeing all that."

Adams moved to Los Angeles in 2018, and the couple got engaged after Adams' romantic beach proposal a year later. True love is great medicine! In 2019, Hyland told Entertainment Tonight that she was doing "really well." With the star head over heels for her reality dating show fiancé, Hyland's latest career move is an unexpected perfect fit.

Sarah Hyland will host Love Island: USA

Sarah Hyland will be hosting "Love Island: USA!" Hyland announced her new gig on Instagram: "I got a text!!!! And it's a juicy one! I can't wait to be your new host of @loveislandusa #hostesswiththemostess #loveisabeach." The United Kingdom's famous reality dating show is moving to Peacock, and Hyland will host "Love Island: USA" on the streaming network starting July 19. "Bachelor In Paradise" star Wells Adams, the new reality host's fiancé, tweeted his praise, writing, "We out here really cornering the reality TV beach dating sector. Congratulations @Sarah_Hyland."

The "Modern Family" star told E! News, "Love Island is such an iconic show, and I love the dating reality space." Hyland added, "I'm just so thrilled and honored to be a part of this...They always have the hottest people on their show." The 31-year-old is a true fan of the British reality show, and she explained to E! News, "I really love that the girls, for the most part, stick together and really bond and stand up for one another."

The Americanized version of the "Love Island" previously aired on CBS. But in May, the show announced via Twitter that the naughty reality series was moving to Peacock due to the "explicit nature of the show." "Love Island: USA" tweeted, "Coming soon (and often)... The steamy new #LoveIslandUSA is recoupling, streaming this summer only on @peacocktv." Get ready for a new guilty pleasure this summer!
